Russ (The Man Himself!)

RAW Skills Soccer School is the brainchild of Russ Watkinson. Russ played as rightwing for Southampton Saints Football Club from 1996—1999. Dissatisfied with the way the game, at professional level, instills fear and aggression in its’ players, Russ decided to end his professional career but wanted to provide children with top quality training in a non-threatening, non-aggressive environment. Armed with his expertise, love of children and lots of patience he opened RAW Skills.

The School began with six children in 2002 and now in the 2009/10 season has over 100 children. He has never advertised and yet the school continues to grow via word of mouth.
Russ has three assistant coaches that on top of they're own qualifications he has personally coached to teach the children in his own unique style. The personal touch is the success to RAW Skills.

Russ and all the coaches have been checked by the CRB and has up-to-date clearance.

Ben Boyce

Ben has been with RAW Skills since September 2004. He has completed a Goal keepers course, FA level 1 and 2 coaching course and is currently working at Raw Skills 3 days a week as well as other coaching schools in and around the Surrey area.

Mikey Dean

Mikey is also currently signed to Woking FC academy and has recently passed his Level 1 coaching badge and has been with the Soccer School since 2006.

Dan Shoubridge

Dan is second in command at Raynes Park High School in the physical education department. He is level 2 qualified coach and has been with the Soccer School since 2006.
